BRIEF OVERVIEW:

A large part of the Web using population is over 50 or older users and this includes the people who invented the wheel! Web Developers need to understand what older users really need and why it’s not enough to only read it!

We are from the era that advanced and made the desktop pc! It’s not right to think 50+ are less able to current technology. Easily understood, you can’t complain that older folks cannot understand tech!

Even though 50 is tech smart as anyone else is, older consumers have some certain expectations that web designers need to consider. Near nothing is not possible, though they can be crucial for our use and enjoyment of the web. As a bonus, you would be making settings that will likely add much-needed help as you age over 50!

EXAMPLE:

The currently aging population is not properly self shown in social media channels. So why do seniors so many seniors not write and publish on the web? Instead, they separate or drift away you can say from the world public web! As regards separation and involvement there should be a section for regular and pleasant activity in the lives of older folks!

Web usage by senior citizens has diminished substantially since 2000! And According to info gathered online, in 2000 only approximately 15% of the USA’s aged 65 and older used the web! By 2004 that was up to 22% and currently it’s 32% and evenly split between men and women. It is suggested that the number of users over age 65 could double or more? The web is more becoming used for information spreading, putting non-users at a growing disadvantage! Take for example when deciding whether or not to participate in a Government-sponsored service and what service to choose? This you could say would be virtually impossible without the web!
